| Agua Blanca http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/aguablanca.asp As the name suggests the sea here has an unusual light turquoise colour that is often remarkable. Being a long bay open to the sea and the often prevailing wind, the waves tend to crash onto this beach at greater velocity than elsewhere. Body surfing here is particularly good fun.
It is one of the officially recognised nudist beaches on the island, but those with a tendency to wear clothes are made equally welcome at either of the two bars/chiringuitos that serve the beach.

| Cala Mastella http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Cala_mastella.asp Another tiny little beach, but in a beautiful cove close to Cala Llena in the San Carlos area. The water here is crystal clear and the snorkelling almost unmatched. There is a little portakabin at the end of the beach serving cold drinks and across the rocks to the left, but out of sight, a remarkable little restaurant which has to be the most 'typical' Ibicenco restaurant on the island.

| Cala San Vicente http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Cala_san_vicent.asp n the north eastern corner of the island, this is a lovely big beach which never gets too full. It's well protected from the north by a huge cliff just in case the wind gets a bit 'parky' - as if ?

| Niu Blau http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/niu_blau.asp This is a peach of a beach and the nearest, going north from Santa Eulalia, that can claim to be a sandy beach. There are two good beach bars, one at either end and both serving excellent local dishes. They have hosted some unforgettable parties over the last few summers.

| Playa Den Bossa http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Playa_den_bossa.asp One of, if not, the longest beach on the island - has to be surveyed to be believed.
It's the other (and main) beach if you're fortunate enough to have accomodation in the middle of Ibiza town or the remarkable Playa d'en Bossa. It's extremely long (the dog will love it!) and features at least 50 beach bars offering similar fare.

| Ses Salinas http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Ses_Salines.asp This is a brilliant afternoon beach. As critical as we try to be, this is a nice spot and the waves just kept rolling in. In summer you have a choice of three bars, the furthest from the car park/entrance being Sa Trencha.

| Cala Bassa http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Cala_Bassa.asp Quite a large and brassy beach in the middle of nowhere, but served by regular ferries from San Antonio, and favoured by the few clubbers who made it out of bed in time.

| Cala Des Portinatx http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Cala_de_portinatx.asp Is tucked away right in the north of the island and protected by a ring of hills that make the drive there spectacularly beautiful. It seems a long drive on such a small island but is very popular in the summer.

| Cala Gracio http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Cala_Gracio.asp Another small beach a couple of km to the north out of San Antonio. Quite safe for kids, in a small bay, but just far enough out of town to deter all but the determined. If your car breaks down and you're in San Antonio - consider this as an option.

| Es Canar http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Es_canar.asp Is quite a large village that bustles in the summer and then disappears over winter. This means that it is a beautiful stretch for a quiet paddle in the winter, away with your thoughts. Throughout the summer you can hardly see the sand - it's popular and busy.

| Cala Vadella http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Cala_Vadella.asp A beautiful little beach in the centre of a seaside village. The main road to and from, actually runs along the beach. Again in a small cove/fjord it still contains a lively sea when the wind comes from the right direction. Nonetheless beautiful for it though.

| Sillot Des Rencli http://www.ibizaholidays.com/beaches/Sillot_des_rencli.asp Very much promoted as a restaurant between the two north coast beaches of Xarraca and Xucla on the road to Portinatx, this is actually a cute little beach. The beach itself is only a few dozen metres long, but is complemented by the slipways to several boathouses and expanses of rock upon which scantily clad locals often sunbathe intertwined.
