Anando Arnold was born in Berlin in 1948. From the very beginning he was drawn towards the arts, so he started to study architecture in Hannover. Later on he changed over to medicine, and on the side he illegaly participated in painting and drawing-courses at the artschool of Hannover. In India he started to teach lifepainting.

"The beauty of nature, its ecstatic way of dancing suchness presents ever new motives to me." Rani studied sculpture and psychology. First visit to India in 1980, since then many long stays. 1991-2000, intensive training and collaboration with Meera Hashimoto, a Japanese painter. Since 1995 exhibitions in and around Munich, participation in group shows in Madeira, Italy, France, Ibiza and India.

Her work is abstract and above all a study of light of different parts of the world. Size is to her as important as the theme itself. First she creates a rough sketch, an effort to obtain the immeasurable world of color and light (chaos) in a shape (security) for people, before she starts painting.

ANANDO ARNOLD an artist living in Ibiza since 96 and now also close to Berlin. In the last year his art focused around sports and movement, dance and disco. As an artist he is an autodidact. In Pune, India for a few years he taught lifedrawing, and he himself loves to do lifedrawing himself.
